SoPoong is a Korean restaurant that's a popular spot for Cornell students looking for a quick, hearty bite.
For this project, I built a responsive and interactive website for a Korean restaurant in Ithaca using HTML/CSS, JavaScript.
Discover Client needs
I met with the client to figure out their needs and decide who the target audience will be. I consolidated the following notes:
1. What is the purpose of the website?
To make it more convenient for the customers to look at our menu and leave feedback or suggestions to our restaurant
2. What is the key message you would like your site to communicate?
I would like our site to give an overview of what our restaurant is about and what kind of food we serve.
3. Who is the intended audience of this site?
Visitors to Ithaca, students, adults residing in Ithaca or a nearby county. Who are looking for Korean food in Collegetown. I want them to be able to locate us, view our menu, and have a general idea of what our service is like.
4. What interactive elements would you like?
I would like a page that includes a page for customers to leave feedback and comments on our service. It would also be nice to be able to reply to those comments. I also would like a system where we can give credits for the past orders they made or any other kinds of promotions
Discover user needs
After meeting with the client, I conducted user interviews and found that users of the website would want to see:
1. Location: where in Collegetown is So Poong?
2. Times: Is it open late night for food?
3. Prices: How much is each dish?
4. What kind of food you can order, and the ingredients in each dish for people with allergies
5. Is there parking nearby?
